Australia’s Leader in Luxury and Sports Travel Treats Guests to a Night to Remember

The clients of Events Worldwide Travel as treated to a fantastic evening the 20th of July. The Lord’s Test Dinner, held at the Grosvenor House Ballroom in London, UK, was created by Events Worldwide Travel for their Australian Tour groups.

Events Worldwide Travel, according to its website, was founded in 1993. The Melbourne-based company is Australia’s leader in international and domestic luxury and sports travel. The company aims to provide unique travel experiences and great service to all of their clients.

Originally, Events Worldwide Travel specialized in sports travel, but now they have diversified into providing luxury travel, boutique travel, group and team travel, sports tours, and custom-made travel itineraries. The company has also established partnerships with many leading companies throughout the world to make sure their customers receive the best service at competitive prices. The work Events Worldwide Travel has done for its clients allows them to live up to its mission statement, which is “to provide clients with unsurpassed service and unforgettable memories to share with friends and family for years to come.”

Glenn Hedley of Events Worldwide Travel told more about the event. “It was a celebrity dinner with a band and guest speakers for all our Australian Tour groups in London for the Lords Test,” he said. “Around 300 people in all attended the function that night in the Ballroom of the Grosvenor House hotel in Park Lane.” The venue itself is a celebrity in its own right—according to the Grosvenor House website, it has been the stomping grounds of royalty, business leaders and celebrities since its 1929 opening. Even the area the Grosvenor House is located in—the posh Mayfair area of London—lent its style and elegance to the proceedings.

The private dinner—included in the company’s tour packages—went off “like clockwork,” said Hedley. “The venue was superb and the meal was excellent; the drinks flowed!” he said. “…Geoff Miller as the Chairman of Selectors of England was the highlight… a very funny man.”

When planning your own ritzy event, Hedley gave the advice to keep tabs on your budget. “Make sure you have the numbers because in the UK they don’t have drinks packages and drinks are on consumption,” he said. “You need to be very accurate to avoid budget blow-outs.”
